Heart and Soul
Remember 4-H? No? Well I wasn't in 4H either. But I remember what it means: Heart, Head, Hands, Health. It's a balanced view of life. All those elements are needed in order to be a productive person in the world – whether it’s in agricultural development or sociocultural development. We must live this way in order to move our personal growth and interpersonal growth forward. Otherwise, we get lopsided; out of balance; and, too focused on narrow issues rather than approaching life in all its complexities and rewards.
I'd like to share something that a friend of mine wrote that seems to hit the nail on the head. Enjoy:

I do agree that no matter how hard some people try, they will never be like some who have a heart and can give freely of themselves. However, I also believe in using what you've be given and if you happen to be one of the few with the capacity to "have heart", then it should be used for good (I see it as a God given gift and blessing). One example I can think of is Mother Theresa. She was all heart and I have no idea what "talent" she possessed, but her legacy was based on her "heart" and compassion for people.
We have talked before about how life is a journey and part of that journey is always growing and learning. There are a lot of people who are generous, giving and do good things in the world, but they are still lacking heart. It DOES go back to not being holier than thou and loving and accepting all people for who they are and where they are.
I believe life is a journey and I have gotten to the place where I "no kidding" feel this way about people. I have never felt more at peace with myself and the universe (and those in it). By nature, or maybe it is nurture, I have always been a worrier, which steals your joy and peace.
I am a firm believer that people come into our lives for a reason and we need to pay attention and learn and grow as a result. I am not saying that every single person that we come into contact with is this way, but some people are obviously placed in our paths for a purpose. Two people do that for me. Both keep me growing and thinking on a deeper level about spiritual things.
So, when you are able to combine heart, knowledge and motivation that equals some serious power to move in the right direction. I am not saying everyone can or should have all three of these. However, if there are people who (for whatever reason) possess all three, then we should use it and channel it (maybe these people need specific guidance to "focus" them in the right direction).
