Merry Christmas
And Peace on Earth.
And, on a somewhat tangential note, can I get a Mulligan for this past week? You know what a Mulligan is, don’t you? It’s a golf expression where you ignore the previous stroke, drop a ball and start over as if the last action didn’t happen. Yeh, it was one of those. I got a phone call on Monday morning that said that I had to get myself and one co-worker to Atlanta for the end of the week. I spent several hours arranging flights and trying to find a hotel room that wasn’t miles from where the meeting was. I went down there and found out on our way back that what we did wasn’t needed and that we were to stop any further work on it. Well, I still had to get home so the trip back was going to be billed.
And what a trip. We got to the airport shortly after noon – stood in line to get through security and then found out that the flights were all filled. So much for standby. Around 6 pm we boarded. In the air I started to feel the air pressure in my ears. That usually doesn’t happen to me. Something was up. Last night, I was cold, achy, no fever, yeh, loosey.
So after switching all my plans around fr last week – it doesn’t amount to anything. All I got out of it was one good meal and a mild touch of the flu. Can I get that Mulligan?
Oh yeh, Merry Christmas!
