I'm ba-a-a-a-ck!

And BOY am I tired. I need to collect my thoughts and put them down. Suffice to say that the trip was "Wunderbar!" [credit: my daughter]. There is so much to put into writing. I need to do that soon - but to note the high points: Ludwig's three castles, beer, Austrian Alps, the Hoffbrau House in Munich, streetcar ride to downtown Dortmund, seeing the place where my father's house stood, where his work was and where he met my mother (on a dance floor), meeting family I never knew I had (and speaking to them in English because they know it), spending two nights in a medieval castle on the Rhine River (the drive up was quite and experience, Remagan remembered, beer, wine, brats, getting lost, ferry boat crossing, beer.

THAT about sums it up. More when I can calm down and write.
