I’m tired

I’ve been working a lot lately and spending evenings at the office trying to get done all the things that I need to do. Sometimes I don’t get out of here (yes, I’m at the office now) until almost 10 pm. Then, there are things at home that need done. So, I get up early in the morning to do them because I’m too tired to stay up late to get them done.

And, while we’re talking about being tired, I’m tired of the liberals bashing the conservatives and tired of the conservative bashing the liberals. Let’s see, a direct confrontation of ideas is sure to sway the other people to my way of thinking, right? WRONG! That never works! So I’m tired. I’m tired of the New York Times expressing itself in irresponsible journalism by making inflammatory and subjective opinions rather than factual statements. Yes, the paper should “inform and educate.” But educate means to give enough information so that I can make up my mind – not that the paper should phrase things so that it makes up your mind for you.

I’m tired of people fighting over what should and shouldn’t be in the pledge of Allegiance. I’m tired of factions deciding whether or not votes should occur in our government (didn’t we elect people to vote?) I’m tired of mindless shows on TV that show normally stupid people acting even more stupid and getting paid lots of money to do it. I’m tired of similar shows where the “winners” are chosen by how well they can cut the legs out from underneath the very people that were on their team last week.

I’m tired of people thinking that something is owed them. All you’re owed is what your parents can give you to get started. The rest is up to you! Get off your butt and do something instead of complaining about how people aren’t fair. Get over it. Life isn’t fair! If it were, I’d have two people doing all the tough stuff that I need to do so I’d have time to do what I want, instead of what I have to. Speaking of “have to,” I have to close this blog for today because, well, quite frankly, I’m tired!
